A longer look than necessary, a friendly wink, a closed body position... We all know what these gestures mean, because we all have minimal notions that allow us to decipher the codes of non-verbal language. Clothing has been part of that language since time immemorial. Not surprisingly, it is one of the aspects that most defines the image of each person. And, although the habit does not make the monk, almost.

We live in times when dress codes are breaking down. Or rather, they are redefining themselves. The old rules no longer apply to a world that is very different from the previous one (actually, from the previous ones) in areas such as gender (where fluidity reigns today), social classes (quite blurred in terms of appearance) or labor conventions (in a scenario dominated by teleworking).

There is the tie as a paradigm: from representing the height of masculine elegance in the office to giving off a certain musty whiff. But today it is still mandatory for millions of people around the world, which suggests that, in effect, professional clothing does not always depend on us. However, there are ways to use it for certain purposes: to reinforce a message, gain confidence or differentiate yourself from others in a subtle way or not so much.
