One of the jobs that more young people ever work in their lives is as shop assistants in a clothing chain. In Spain there are dozens of these companies, which have thousands of stores throughout the country, with their consequent salary differences. Primark, Zara, Springfield... Choosing one of them depends, in many cases, on what is charged in each one. This can be known through collective agreements or some platforms such as Glassdoor.

Zara

One of the stores belonging to the Inditex group. According to Glassdoor, full-time workers in these establishments earn a salary of €16,034 gross per year, while those who work part-time earn between €600 and €900 per month, depending on the hours. However, according to the latest annual report of the company itself, the average salary is 20,751 euros gross per year.

There are also differences based on age. Those under 30 years of age earn 16,598 euros gross per year, those between 30 and 40 years of age earn 28,214 euros gross per year and those over 40, 43,648 euros gross per year. This data is shared by all the group's stores, so Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Bershka and Oysho would have the same salaries.

Primark

It is another of the best known. According to their collective agreement, which runs until December 31, 2023, dependents, included in professional group 0, saw their salary increase by 0.25% on October 1 and earn 14,536.75 euros gross per year; that is, 8.21 euros per hour. Similarly, they will have more salary increases, reaching January 1, 2023 with a salary of 14,872.99 euros gross per year (8.45 euros per hour).

H&M

The company of Swedish origin, according to Glassdoor, pays employees a salary of between 700 and 1,200 euros gross per month, depending on the hours that appear in their contract. However, according to its latest balance sheet, sales and distribution workers, including dependents, earn an average salary of 18,720 euros gross per year.

Mango

The Spanish company pays its employees according to the collective agreement of the textile sector of each autonomous community. According to Business Insider, the salary of full-time employees is 1,200 euros gross per month in 14 payments. In addition, they have incentives for monthly sales, and their salary increases as they obtain greater responsibility and job rank.

Springfield

Another of the chains of Spanish origin. It is run by the Tendam Group, the same as other stores such as Cortefiel or Women'secret. According to Glassdoor, the salary of Springfield clerks ranges between 1,045 and 1,143 euros gross per month. However, most of them do not work full time, but rather on contracts of 20 or 30 hours per week. The rest of the Tendam Group stores have similar conditions.

One of the most different clothing stores in Spain, with alternative and risky designs. According to Glassdoor, his dependents earn a salary of 1,280 euros gross per month working full-time. In addition, another of the things that differentiates it is that they have implemented the 4-day working day in offices, with a salary reduction of 6.5%. However, in stores it is not certain that they will implement it.

The El Corte Inglés clothing brand has its own stores outside the department stores, and the salary of its employees is 15,000 euros gross per year, according to information provided by Glassdoor. In addition, part-time workers are paid between 600 and 900 euros, depending on the hours stipulated in their contract.
