Bar Refaeli A Roger Waters: Boicoteas to Israel?Remove my image of your shows
Jerusalem.(EFE).- The Israeli model Bar Refaeli has made it clear on Twitter to British music Roger Waters who, since I boycott Israel for her policies towards the Palestinians, should not use more images of her live, reports today the newspaper Haaretz.
Waters, who was the face of the mythical British band Pink Floyd, is one of the main voices in favor of a cultural boycott of Israel, where he refuses to act as a measure of pressure and call for attention on the occupation of the Palestinian territories. This week he made public a letter in which he urged his "brothers and sisters in the rock and roll family" to join Israel's cultural boycott, just as numerous artists against South Africa of Apartheid.
In response to that call, Refaeli tweeted yesterday: "Roger Waters, you should take my photograph from the artistic video of your concerts. If boycotting, do it at all ".
Although he speaks perfect English, Refaeli wrote his tweet in Hebrew, a language that Waters and most of his fans do not know.
Two years earlier, the model had shown her admiration for the British musician in an English tweet."What madness...I went to a concert by Roger Waters in Paris and I saw a photo of mine!I feel honored, "he reacted then.
Refaeli is not distinguished by staying out of public debates about his country, where he has been involved in various controversies, mainly because he did not do compulsory military service.Last March, the Israeli armed forces sent an official protest letter to the Foreign Ministry in which they stressed that including it in a worldwide campaign for the promotion of Israel sent a "wrong message" for "exonerating" those who do not go to ranks and "None "to those who get ready.
The supermodel was also criticized at the past Christmas, on that occasion by Jewish ultra -orthodox sectors, when light clothes appear and dressed in a Santa Claus hat to promote its brand of underwear. The most radical criticized that the model, which is Jewish, appeared with the rojiblanco hat of Santa Claus and without symbols of the Janucá Jewish holiday, which is usually celebrated in December.
