Carabineros captured a gang that kept weapons, ammunition and military camouflage clothing in Concepción

Carabineros personnel from the 2nd Concepción Police Station arrested three individuals who had weapons, ammunition and military camouflage clothing in their possession during the day on Thursday.

The police institution and prosecutor Alejandro Ali said that the detainees "were traveling in a vehicle with tinted windows and were arrested in the area of ​​Calle Rengo and Avenida Manuel Rodríguez after fleeing from a police check on a bicycle."

Upon searching the interior of the car, police found "55 .40-caliber shots; a .40-caliber six-shot pistol magazine; a 22-caliber Glock pistol with a .40-caliber 18-shot magazine; a mountain-style hood; two military-type camouflage pants; two military-type camouflage shirts; two pairs of black gloves; a black bag; and 217,000 pesos in cash.

The Public Prosecutor's Office ordered expert reports from the specialized teams of Carabineros from the Criminalist Laboratory (Labocar) and the Service for the Order and Search of Vehicles (SEBV).

The detainees were formalized by illegal possession of firearms and ammunition . Two of them remained in preventive detention, since they have an extensive police record for crimes against property and infractions of the Drug Law.

The third defendant was placed under total house arrest.
