ELLE magazine promotes a fashion industry without animal skins
The world fashion magazine ELLE announced this Thursday that animal skins will disappear from the pages and digital media in all its editions to "promote a more humane fashion industry."
With this, ELLE became the first major publication to announce this global measure that not only bans natural fur in its editorial content but also in its advertising.
"We cannot maintain a discourse on one side and make money on the other, in completely opposite directions," said its international director Valeria Bessolo Llopiz, during the VOICES 2021 conference.

In her participation, Bessolo emphasized that there is less and less supply of items and many brands chose to abandon fur years ago because they seem "outdated."
