The Emmy Award-winning series for Best Unstructured Reality premieres its second season on March 17 on A&E and tells the stories of seven young people with Down Syndrome from Southern California, along with their family and friends: Rachel (33), a young woman who works in an insurance company and who dreams of getting married; Sean (22), an excellent golfer and sportsman and a great heartthrob; John (29), passionate about music and rap born to entertain; Steven (25), a movie buff who works as a dishwasher at a baseball stadium in Anaheim, CA, and as a waitress at a food joint; Cristina (26), a sweet and compassionate young woman who works in a secondary school and who adores her boyfriend with whom she has had a relationship for more than four years; Megan (23), a fashion entrepreneur who created a clothing brand and who also wants to fulfill her dream of being a film producer; and, finally, Elena (29); a great cook who embraces life and who loves to dance and write poetry.
The first season of MY LIFE with Down Syndrome was recognized and awarded with an Emmy in its last installment and, in addition, was one of the six honorees during the ninth edition of the Television Academy Honors, an award that celebrates and recognizes the programming that creates educates, educates and motivates the public.
