Vegan clothing for everyone, the new proposal from H&M

With a clear inspiration in the 90s, the Swedish giant launches “Co-ExistStory”, a collection that combines innovative fabrics and materials from more sustainable sources in which the designs do not include fabrics or processes derived from animals; It's vegan clothes.

Sensitized with the environment and with animals, the well-known fast and fast fashion brand H&M has launched "Co-ExistStory", an "animal-frinendly" collection, says the firm's creative advisor Ann-Sofie in a note on Tuesday Johansson.

“This collection epitomizes our ongoing commitment at H&M to explore innovative alternatives to animal-based fabrics while also providing our customers with cutting-edge fashion,” she adds.

“Co-ExistStory” is the third installment of H&M's InnovationStories initiative, which launched in early 2021 and aims to propose more sustainable innovations, materials and designs.

Approved by PETA, (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), the collection offers innovative alternatives to animal-derived fabrics and processes such as “Flwrdwn”, an alternative to animal down made from wild flowers, or “Yulex” , natural rubber as an alternative to neoprene, as well as “Vegea”, a vegan substitute for leather based on grapes.

This new line, which will be available worldwide from November 4, is clearly inspired by the 90s and combines innovative fabrics and materials from more sustainable sources with a cutting-edge mentality.

Key women's pieces include a cream faux fur coat in recycled polyester and a one-shoulder knit dress with a dramatic fringed hem.

For men, an oversized jacket in recycled nylon with a graffiti print that showcases a street-style aesthetic.

In accessories, high resistance rubber fisherman boots and comfortable padded shoes. The collection also includes vegan makeup: two lipsticks and eyeliners.

For boys, recycled nylon jackets and quilted jackets appear in bold hues, while t-shirts and loungewear feature patches with messages declaring allegiance to the animal kingdom.
