How (and where) you can get a good workout to get in shapeVioleta by Mango launched her first collection in 2014 and now, 7 years later, she redirects her future by joining Mango. To do so, the company has decided to close all of Violeta's physical stores (more than 30 throughout Spain). In this way, it will integrate these collections, garments and patterns into Mango's women's collection. Thus, the Spanish chain will not separate "large" size fashion, as it did before with this sub-brand, from the rest of its collection.

As they have assured, the staff of these establishments will be relocated to others of the brand so they will not lose their jobs. “Changes can be difficult, but most of the time, they bring very good things. Violeta will soon be integrated into the Mango Woman collection and we celebrate it with pride because we believe in diversity, in the empowerment that lies in being united and in our commitment to give visibility to all types of bodies and beauties. We are working to make this transition as simple and easy for you," they explain from their Instagram profile.
Throughout its short history, Violeta by Mango has had women who champion curves and real bodies as an image. Among them, the Sevillian designer Vicky Martín Berrocal (she created a capsule collection) and international models such as Lorena Durán, Robyn Lawley, Georgia Pratt, Sabina Karlsson, Chloé Vero, Olivia Wilson and Eva Kay among others.
The spirit of Violeta by Mango will live on
For Mango, this drastic move represents a step forward "in its commitment to inclusivity, culminating in the integration of Violeta by Mango into the general women's collection." Starting next week, the more than 500 references available in the Violeta by Mango line, which go up to size 54 and 4XL, will become part of the general women's collection.
In addition, the company has decided to extend the sizing of the rest of the collection, adding sizes 32 (XXS) and 46 (XXL) to practically all the designs in the women's collection. With this decision, Mango hopes to be able to dress a greater number of clients.
The garments that until now were marketed under the Violeta by Mango brand will have a more affordable price thanks to their integration into the general collection, which has much higher purchase volumes. In addition, the collection will follow the designs of Mango. The women's design team has incorporated Violeta by Mango pattern makers to maintain and apply the knowledge acquired in pattern making for all sizes.
A selection of garments up to size 54 can continue to be found in physical Mango Woman stores in most towns where there are exclusive Violeta by Mango points of sale. In these stores, the clients will have personalized advice from the store staff, who will be able to show them the collection and, if necessary, will be able to make the purchase in the e-commerce through a tablet. In addition, all the garments will be available on the web and on the Mango App. In Andalusia, the physical stores of Violeta by Mango will be closed in Seville, Malaga, Cordoba and Granada.
