Juliana Velásquez, an up-and-coming and poetic Colombian songwriter, was named best new artist, and Mon Laferte won best female singer-songwriter album for Seis in a category often dominated by men (she also flaunted her volatile voice and, with her wardrobe, of her pregnant belly).
