The adaptation of a popular manga to anime is not as simple as one might think, despite the fact that there is practically already a script.
Sometimes the directors, in favor of a more fluid story or because of the time limitations in each chapter, take certain creative liberties, which can affect or benefit the anime.
For example, Tokyo Ghoul is one of the most popular manga in recent years, but its anime did not have the same fate.
While it does have some points in its favor, the huge difference between the animation and the source material greatly annoyed fans.
There are also animes that include original material to lengthen the story, as happened with Naruto, whose filler episodes became one of the most recurring jokes in the franchise.
But there are also some anime that took fidelity to the manga very seriously, and only changed small things that didn't significantly change the core story.
Here we present the 7 animes most faithful to their original manga.
#1 Dragon Ball Kai
It is possible that in Latin America this anime does not have a good image, due to the decision to change the voice actors, but for the rest of the world it was a success.
Dragon Ball Kai removed all of the Dragon Ball Z filler episodes, and told Goku's story from the Saiyan invasion to the Majin Buu saga with great fidelity to the source material and better animation.
#2 Hellsing Ultimate
Hellsing had an anime adaptation at hand from the Gonzo studio, which was criticized for its self-censorship and for radically changing the story.
Madhouse took the baton and planned a reboot for the series in OVAS format, which are long episodes with superior animation quality.

Hellsing Ultimate was released in 2006, and after six years, fans were able to enjoy all 10 OVAS, which not only had a fairly faithful story, but also the character designs seemed to be taken directly from the manga.
#3 Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
The first Fullmetal Alchemist series was criticized for taking a completely different narrative route, but that was because it caught up with the manga's story too quickly.
That's why they had to go a different way, and even came up with a completely original ending to the story.
Fortunately, a short time later Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood was released, a series that took advantage of the fact that the manga had already ended to be practically an animated copy of the original material.
#4 Deathnote
For almost the entire story the anime followed the manga route, certain details were omitted, such as the names of some detectives, but basically it was the same plot.
The ending had certain differences, for example, the anime implies that Light reincarnates into a shinigami, but the manga was not definitive with Kira's fate.
#5 Jujutsu Kaisen
With only one season, Jujutsu Kaisen already has the reputation of being one of the most important shonen in recent years, and of being an anime that is incredibly faithful to its manga.
Some scenes even look like frame-by-frame captures of the original post, something that fans certainly appreciate.
#6 Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer perfectly fits the story of his manga, to the point that even his movie, Mugen Train, is part of the canon.
That's a big plus for him, as producers often use movies to tell stories outside of the main arc.
The second season of this anime will start right where the film left off, so he hopes that it will continue with the same line of fidelity to his manga.
#7 Slam Dunk
True, the anime ended before one of the most exciting arcs of the manga began, but before all that it was adapting its original story very well.
Hanamichi Sakuragi and her teammates looked like they came straight out of the manga, and fans are still waiting for some studio to finally decide to end the series.
