But many are not satisfied, such as Antonio Molina, who says he does not accept payments in Bitcóin in his street sale of bananas.

"I don't care if they remove the bitcóin or not, for me it is no benefit that, I work only with the dollar, Bitcóin does not accept," Molina said.

In El Salvador the bitcóin circulates alongside the US dollar, the official currency for two decades.

- "Great risks" -

On Tuesday, International Monetary Fund (IMF) urged El Salvador to withdraw the bitcóin as legal tender, pointing out "great associated risks" to the use of cryptocurrency, a blow to President Nayib Bukele, his enthusiastic promoter.

The IMF Executive Board of Directors urged the Salvadoran Government to stop officially using the bitcóin, citing danger for "financial stability, financial integrity and consumer protection, as well as possible fiscal contingencies".

For merchants like Arévalo, there is no idea that the bitcóin stops having legal course.

"Sales have increased since we accept bitcóin, and at least here in the business we do not agree that the use of bitcóin is removed, we are already used to using it and it is a payment option," said Arévalo.

The Salvadoran government discusses with the IMF an agreement for 1.300 million dollars, to clean up their coffers.

In this year, according to Membreño, the Government expects to obtain 400 million dollars from the World Bank, 400 million from the Inter -American Development Bank (IDB), and 200 million from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE).
