Sarpa will raise flight as a commercial airline

Aruba and Curacao are the international destinations that will soon connect from Rionegro and Barranquilla the company Pan American Air Services (SARPA), which for 41 years has distinguished itself as a charter flight operator and by patient air transportation.

For three months Carlos Andrés Mesa Palacio is in charge of which in December it will be a new commercial alternative of air transport, which is not low cost, and in dialogue with El Colombiano detailed the expansion plans of the company that has invested sixmillion dollars to execute this transformation.

What mandates did Sarpa preside over?

“One of the challenges is the change in the way of thinking to take the company to the high -level aeronautical ecosystem, to a sector that is competed, and the other is to strengthen ourselves with operational stability to grow and in 5 years operate 6 or 7 aircraftcovering the business plan of direct routes not served or covered with deficiency, in which we see opportunities so that the passenger does not go to a connection center ”.

When did the change begin?

“Since 2019 the project of certifying as a regular commercial airline began, in 2020 the idea was stopped, but we resumed it this year and from December we will have that activity as the third line of business.The other two are charter flights and aerial ambulance ”.
