The airline that has banished heels and skirts
In recent years, many airlines have made progress in terms of freedom of clothing for their female crew members, eliminating the requirement to wear make-up or giving the option of wearing pants instead of skirts. Now, the Ukrainian SkyUp has gone a step further and has eliminated skirts and heels from the uniform.
“Times have changed, women have changed, so in contrast to the conservative classics, heels, red lipstick and a bow, a new, more modern and comfortable image has appeared”, explains Marianna Grigorash, Head of the Marketing Department of SkyUp Airlines.

The airline intends to leave behind "superfluous officialdom" and bet on flexibility to adapt to the new activities carried out by flight attendants. They want to offer a “more modern and comfortable” image. To develop the new concept, interviews were conducted with the flight attendants with whom it was decided to replace the shoes with slippers.
